Corporate Communications Director – Issues and Financial Communications

What You’ll Do: The Corporate Communications Director – Issues and Financial Communications will lead reactive issues management and proactive media relations reputation strategy and will help craft the company’s business and financial communications.

The Day-to-Day: 

Serve as a company spokesperson with reporters and influencers on issues related to company reputation

Develop and lead issues communications plans, messaging and PR materials on short notice in response to

business-critical issues

Serve as on-the-record spokesperson related to business and financial communications

Develop strategies to share ongoing business successes and quarterly financial results with key media stakeholders

Manage ongoing relationships with reporters and key media stakeholders

Develop strong relationships with the VP, Investor Relations and Legal team

Write press materials as needed including but not limited to press releases, pitch materials, etc.

Prepare executives for media interviews

Track media results against goals and metrics.

Are We a Match? 

Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science or related field.

8-10 years of experience in corporate communications, with a proven track record of being able to manage sensitive communications projects with tight deadlines, or in a communications role on a political campaign or elected official.

Proven results in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, and successfully executing many complex tasks simultaneously.

Proven track record of interacting with all levels of internal and external clients and successful conflict resolution.

Local, regional, and national travel may be required for representation during work hours or during evening and/or weekend events.
