In this strategic role you will drive culture by leading the development and implementation of internal communications strategies, plans and tactics designed to help engage, inform and inspire Albertsons Companies associates. 

This role is preferably based in Pleasanton, CA, Dallas, TX, Phoenix, AZ or Boise, ID.

Top responsibilities:

  •  Develop and implement internal communications programs that help associates feel connected to our company culture, purpose and strategy. 
  •  Work with business partners across the organization to plan and execute internal communications programs. Consult with leaders on internal communication priorities and change management initiatives, helping to craft effective internal communications that meet business objectives.
  •  Use creative communications and storytelling methods to inspire and activate associates at all levels of the organization around a customer-centric culture. 
  •  Help drive a culture of recognition across our company, celebrating associates at every level in fun and innovative ways.
  •  Leverage social channels to keep our associates informed, engaged and connected.
  •  Support the development of the company’s internal communications tools and channels, helping implement best practices. Use feedback and measurement to ensure effectiveness and reach of internal communications.
  •  Collaborate across Communications, HR and Marketing to ensure message consistency and integration of content across channels.

What we are searching for

  •  Experience developing strategic internal communications programs and materials that increase associate engagement and build understanding of a company narrative.
  •  Exceptional writing and storytelling skills. Ability to simplify complex concepts into readily understandable language and engaging storylines.
  •  Strong experience engaging associates through creative communications methods including video storytelling. Experience communicating with frontline associates in a retail or manufacturing environment is a plus.
  •  Ability to measure impact of communications strategy and tactics.
  •  Strong business acumen and experience partnering with a variety of business stakeholders in a complex, matrixed environment. Understanding of change management principles and the drivers of company culture.
  •  Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Able to bring together different views, goals and needs to find alignment and deliver business value.
  •  Ability to deal with confidential information 

Qualifications and experience:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or writing-intensive field of study preferred

7-10 years of communications experience
