About the Speaker
For the past two decades, David Johnston has worked with clients to develop award-winning content and tell powerful stories.
He currently serves as the Social Media Manager for the Transportation Security Administration in Washington, D.C. In this role, he is responsible for engaging with the traveling public through a variety of digital initiatives, including social media and the agency’s customer care program. In addition to his role as a civil servant, David also serves as the Director of Media for a national nonprofit organization that works to help children in need.
David is a frequent event speaker, sharing his experiences in the fields of social media, government communications and customer care. In his spare time, he can be found rattling the pans in his kitchen, or turning wrenches in the garage.
