About our panelists
Jenifer Bice is a senior director at Walmart, where she has worked in communications and events for more than 13 years. Prior to Walmart, she held leadership positions at Sprint (now T-Mobile), where she was a staff operations manager and industry analyst relations manager. Jenifer was a previous chair of the IABC 2019 World Conference, served as a board member for the Kansas City IABC chapter and has won three IABC Gold Quill awards.
Jeff Rader is a communications consultant with Resources Global Professionals who spent nearly 10 years at Chevron as managing editor of digital media. Prior to that, he was director of marketing at D-Tools, where he led communications, branding and marketing efforts through strategic analysis and planning. As past chapter president of SF IABC and a long-time board member, Jeff has judged many Gold Quill submissions.
Peter Vogt is global head of employee engagement & interim lead for diversity, equity and inclusion at Splunk. Peter and his team focus on gathering employee sentiment, marketing Splunk as a destination employer and mapping out Splunk’s end-to-end employee journey. A career communicator who has held leadership positions at many other top tier brands including Electronic Arts, BBVA and Visa, Peter has won many awards including the IABC Gold Quill.

For more than 40 years, IABC’s Gold Quill Awards have recognized and awarded excellence in strategic communication worldwide. Gold Quill is the only awards program that honors the dedication, innovation and passion of communicators on a global scale.
Since 2008, more than 4,451 projects have been entered in the Gold Quill Awards. All IABC Gold Quill Award entries are evaluated by international professional communicators with more than 10 years of experience. The majority of evaluators have earned Gold Quill Awards. Many are either IABC accredited or certified by the Global Communication Certification Council. All are trained to evaluate entries against established criteria aligned to IABC’s Global Standard of the communication profession.
